Dear friends of the Quaternary,

A warm welcome to the biannual meeting of the German Quaternary Association that will take place in Freiburg from September 28th to October 2nd 2026.

With the theme “Environmental records and landscape change“, we aim on linking high-resolution records of past environmental change with its expression in changes in geomorphic processes. This topic will be also the focus of a full day workshop, which will combine invited talks, poster exhibitions as well as a general discussion. This will be in addition to oral and poster presentations on all subjects of Quaternary research.

During fieldtrips prior and past the session program, the working group from Freiburg will present highlights of own research.
